Agriculture is currently the most important economic sector in Ukraine. Moreover, Ukraine is one of the leading countries in terms of agriculture and exports of agricultural products.
As part of the JCC Ukraine Chapter, a webinar, moderated by Sven Henniger, Head, JCC Ukraine Chapter and Partner at Henniger Winkelmann Consulting, was held on 17 June on the topic “Ukraine’s Agribusiness: New Opportunities”.
Keynote speaker at this event was
- Alex Lissitsa, President of Ukrainian Agribusiness Club and CEO of Warsaw Stock Exchange listed agricultural company IMC.
In addition to the current facts and figures, the presentations on the future challenges of agriculture in Ukraine were of great interest. According to Mr. Lissitsa, the following things have to be mastered in the future in order to keep Ukrainian agriculture on the road to success:
- Land Market Introduction
- Watermanagement due to the Climate Change
- Rural Developments and Social Responsibility
- Increasing Commodity Prices
- Coronavirus Consequences
- Technological Improvements
- and the lack of Human Capital
Our keynote speaker is particularly committed to the last point. Technologization and increasing complexity in agriculture make him personally optimistic that many IT-savvy Ukrainians will be able to get more enthusiastic about interesting challenges in agriculture in the future – his motto therefore: “Make Agribusiness in Ukraine sexy again!” The current agribusiness market also offers many opportunities for new entrants.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Lissitsa once again for his interesting and inspiring presentation. Landwirtschaft ist in der Ukraine aktuell der bedeutendste Wirtschaftszweig. Darüber hinaus ist die Ukraine eines der führenden Länder im Bereich der Landwirtschaft und im Bezug auf Exporte von landwirtschaftlichen Produkten.
Im Rahmen des JCC Ukraine Chapters wurde 17. Juni ein Webinar, moderiert von Sven Henniger, Head, JCC Ukraine Chapter und Partner bei Henniger Winkelmann Consulting, mit dem Thema „Ukraine’s Agribusiness: New Opportunities“ veranstaltet.
Hauptredner bei dieser Veranstaltung war

Neben den aktuellen Daten und Fakten waren vor allem die Ausführungen zu den zukünftigen Herausforderungen der Landwirtschaft in der Ukraine von großem Interesse. Folgende Dinge sind laut Herrn Lissitsa in der Zukunft zu meistern, um die ukrainische Landwirtschaft auf Erfolgskurs zu halten:
